I’m excited to welcome three incredible American women to Your Book Your Brand Your Business, Barbara, Hilarie, and Marie: the founders of the American Workers Coalition.

Billions Lost: The American Tech Crisis and The Road Map to Change

Hilarie T. Gamm is the author of the book, Billions Lost: The American Tech Crisis and The Road Map to Change, available on in paperback and Kindle. For most of her career, which spans over 25 years, Gamm has been at the front lines of the American tech industry. The woman behind the stunning revelations in Billions Lost: The American Tech Crisis and The Road Map to Change is a nationally recognized leader in technology with both domestic and global exposure. For over two decades, Gamm has amassed a wide-sweeping professional portfolio at virtually all levels of the tech industry hierarchy – from fieldwork to middle management to executive leadership. Her work experiences include help desks, tech support, web development, mainframes, client servers, cloud computing, testing, and data centers. She has managed IT departments, projects, application development, and client services. She has consulted for large international corporate IT programs, has deployed applications in over 40 countries, and managed multi-lingual offshore teams. So, from help desk to executive suite, her compelling insights provide a lucid glimpse into the transitions, miscalculations, and prevailing vulnerabilities for the American economy.

Why Should All Americans Care About Outsourcing?

Industry insider, veteran executive, and working mom Hilarie Gamm pulls the curtain back on the destruction of the American technology industry in her groundbreaking work, Billions Lost: The American Tech Crisis and the Road Map to Change. Gamm connects the dots between seemingly disparate events and facts and outlines with stunning clarity the perfect storm that created a massive exodus of tech industry jobs from the U.S.

Extensively researched and firmly apolitical, Billions Lost explains how the offshoring of millions of U.S. technology jobs opened a gateway that places our economy, our national security, and our educational systems at risk. Gamm succinctly explains the Y2K scare, visa reform, and other factors that snowballed into today’s crisis, and identifies the ramifications of outsourcing on our country and its profound impact on America’s middle class.

To spark a national conversation, Gamm closes with her Road Map to Change: 20 actions that can reverse the trend, improve education, save the middle class, and return growth, security, and prosperity to America.

American Workers Coalition

The American Workers Coalition (AmWorkCo) was founded by Barbara, Hilarie, and Marie in 2019 to educate U.S. legislators regarding the facts around U.S. STEM Education and Employment and the devastating effects of off-shoring, outsourcing, and the lack of data must stay laws.  AmWorkCo is leading the non-partisan fight to put Americans FIRST for jobs and education and winning!

AWC leaders and their network of advocates are arranging meetings and speaking directly to Congress. AmWorkCo makes it easy for you to spend minimal time to produce maximum results.

COVID19 Is A Wake-Up Call

I’ve known about this issue since 2015, when the veteran investigative reporter and author Michelle Malkin released her book, Sold Out: How High-Tech Billionaires & Bipartisan Beltway Crapweasels Are Screwing America’s Best & Brightest Workers. It opened my eyes to a grave injustice. Like most Americans, I grew up with the belief that a solid work ethic, dedication, and ongoing commitment to self-improvement and professional development would ensure the American Dream. But for American tech employees, this dream has become a nightmare. When I connected with @AmWorkCo on Twitter, I invited them to join me for an interview on W4CY Radio to inform my audience about what’s going on and what they can do to change it. Whether you work in the tech industry or not, if you care about your privacy, safety, and the security of our nation, tune in to hear Marie, Hilarie, and Barbara on Monday, April 13 at 5 p.m. Eastern.

To live stream, visit As always, this episode will be archived on all the podcast catchers, including iHeart Radio. We hope you’ll join us in the effort to preserve American jobs and sovereignty!
